About
My name is Elizabeth Gill and I am an outdoors enthusiast of all kinds! For much of my life, my main hobby, sport, and life have revolved around horses and the sport of Eventing. I learned patience, resilience, and how to work under pressure growing up in the horse industry. I left in-person high school in Massachusetts at 15 years old to be a working student for the winter in South Carolina where I continued school online while working six days a week in exchange for training. I continued to do this until I graduated high school early in December 2019. After that, I went to work for US Olympian Liz Halliday. I worked for her for 2 seasons as a rider and groom before ultimately deciding to go to college at the University of Maryland in the fall of 2021 to study Environmental Science and English.
I continued to compete at the Intermediate and 3* levels of Eventing throughout my time at UMD, working with and for riders like Tim Bourke and Lynn Symansky.

Life post horses
In the winter of 2025 I decided it was time for my horse, Mikey to have an easier life and leased him out. I graduated a few months later with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Art in English Literature and Language.
The next chapter of my life is also on a farm, however, I've swapped horses for vegetables. I decided to continue my move west from Wyoming and settled in Santa Cruz, California to complete a WWOOF experience (work trade) on a permaculture farm. There I help in day to day operations of running an organic farm including harvesting, planting, running irrigation lines, and packing CSA (community supported agriculture) boxes that are delivered to drop off locations all around the Bay Area weekly.
In addition to horses and farming, I spend a lot of my time rock climbing, hiking, camping, skiing, and just generally enjoying the outdoors.
